Always wanted to know how to prepare the most delicious dishes outside on a wood fire? Together with friends, family, or colleagues, you 'play with fire' for the best results.
 
With fresh ingredients, you prepare a 4-course dinner that will make your mouth water. In pairs or small groups, you can, for example, smoke fish, bake bread, make soups and pastas, prepare Coq au vin, grill vegetables, bake muffins and cakes, or whatever the menu of the day entails. Together, you keep the fire burning and collectively determine the end result.

PROGRAM

15.30 hrs - Cooking workshop including 4-course dinner
We start with an adventurous and delicious cooking workshop in the open air. The cooking workshop is given in a fun, accessible, and hospitable way at Buitenkoken Giethoorn at the Schouwenburg farm in Giethoorn. You will have views of passing boats on one side and the Weerribben-Wieden National Park on the other.

The focus of this approximately four-hour cooking workshop is on cooking with Dutch Ovens. You will get to know different types of cast iron pans and learn the technique of cooking on a wood fire and with briquettes.

In groups, you will prepare a delicious meal. Each group will cook one or two dishes so that we can prepare a complete 4-course dinner.

19.00 hrs - Coffee, tea, and fire-baked cake
We will end the cooking workshop with coffee, tea, and cake baked over the fire.

The full package includes coffee, tea, and soft drinks.
Alcoholic beverages such as beer and wine are exclusive and will need to be paid for on-site.
