Discover this beautiful natural area in a nostalgic way during a route of about 2 hours. You will pass by the native flora and fauna and be led along the beautiful reed/swamp fields. Along the way, you will come across various bird and nature viewing points and drive past several restaurants.
National park Weerribben-Wieden (4 hours)
Experience this National Park Weerribben-Wieden with all its beautiful natural beauty, charming villages, former Zuiderzee towns such as Vollenhove, Blokzijl, and the water villages Giethoorn and Belt and Schutsloot. The route covers the entire area with stops at the visitor center De Weerribben (staatsbosbeheer) and the outdoor center De Wieden (natuurmonumenten. This trip takes about 4 hours or you can drive it with a full day rental
Maatschappij van de Weldadigheid (full day)
Experience the Weerribben with the adjacent Maatschappij van de Weldadigheid. A unique combination of culture and nature. The route starts with a visit to the nature reserve De Weerribben, then you drive to Willemsoord where the Maatschappij van de Weldadigheid begins. Through a beautiful route, you pass by the settler houses and visit museum De Proefkolonie to eventually drive back to the starting location from another side of the Weerribben
Rottige Meente/Lindevallei (4 hours or full-day rental)
Search for the Fire Butterfly, get to know the nature reserve De Rottige Meente in combination with the Lindevallei. The route starts with a trip through the Weerribben to Ossenzijl, where you go onto the lindedijk, which leads you straight through the Rottige Meente. The route slowly transitions into the Lindevallei. Along the way, you will come across numerous cozy terraces and beautiful picnic areas.
